This week on New Day Café, in time for Father’s Day, we’re honoring ‘Dads.’  We invite you to join as we talk about the importance of Fathers in the family. We’ll also discuss the role of Fathers from a biblical standpoint. Highlights for this week include ‘Prayerful Petitions’ and ‘Parenting Like A Pro’ on Monday, plus an interview with Phil Waldrep, Host of the ‘Gridiron Men’s Conference’ coming to Birmingham, Ala. June 19-20. On Tuesday, we have a feature from ‘The National Center for Fathering,’ on Thursday, Halo Matzelle, author of ‘Halo Finds Hope,’ joins us to discuss her journey of faith after being diagnosed with a brain tumor, and on Friday, we’ll talk with Dr. John Trent, president of StrongFamilies.com and founder of The Institute for the Blessing at Barclay College and co-Author of ‘The Blessing: Giving the Gift of Unconditional Love and Acceptance.' On Tuesday, Dr. Joshua Rothman, UA Professor and Director of The Summersell Center for the Study of the South, visits with us to talk about the ‘History of Barbecue,’ on Wednesday, Gary Epperson of the Singing Echoes will be with us, and on Friday, we’ll have an interview with Stephanie Rogers, Executive Director of the Monroe County Heritage Museum in Monroe County Alabama.  We’ll see you at the table! May 11-15 is ‘Military Week’ on this edition of New Day Café.  All weeklong we acknowledge and salute the men and women who sacrifice their lives and their times to keep our nation safe.  Our features for this week include an interview with Attorney David Gibbs III, President of the National Center For Life and Liberty, joins us to talk about Religious Liberty and the upcoming ‘Church Leadership Legal Seminars’ – coming to our area on June 14-15.  Also, on Tuesday, Gil McKee, Pastor of First Baptist Church Tuscaloosa will be with us to talk about FBC’s ‘Religious Liberty Conference,’ on Wednesday and Thursday we’ll talk with one of the Doolittle Raiders, and on Friday don’t miss our ‘Honor Flight Feature,’ where we’ll talk about the many organizations helping veterans to visit the memorials built in the their honor.  Join us at the table!
